I purchased dining chairs for the holidays. They arrived early and I was very excited. Until I attempted to screw the legs on. The first chair was great. The next 3 chairs screws stripped with each turn. Small shards of metal were almost invisible on my floor. This is a hazard especially for diabetics! I contacted Priscilla in JCP Whittier and was referred to another number. I called many times and was told something different each time. Finally I was told it was out of JCP's hands and that I had to wait until the company who picks up the chairs called me with no estimate of when that would occur. Also, after they pick up the chairs it would be approximately 3 weeks before I am refunded my money. I'm a senior on a fixed income and I paid with a debit card so there goes my holiday celebrations with no seating. Also my apartment is small and 2 large boxes with partially assembled chairs impede on my Christmas decor! I've been a JCP customer for at least 50 years! I'm very disappointed and I will NEVER order anything except inexpensive items online. I understand why JCP is in financial trouble. The customer no longer valuable!
