I bought at Gatwick airport an item and the staff promised me that if the size wasn't right, I could return it to any of your shops. Unfortunately, the size wasn't right and I tried to return it to the JD shop in Clapham Junction (store 554). Unfortunately, the staff at Clapham Junction did not want to refund me the money because at the airport I did not pay VAT. We called the customer service and I have been told to leave the item with them but the shop, still, did not want to refund me any money. I tried to engage with the customer service on via e-mail (my first email was from July 3rd) but they never got back to me with an answer and what is worse I have never received my money back! It is an abuse to ask customers to make it up for their internal processes. They should put in place a procedure to teach all their stores to manage returns without VAT. Also I find misleading to sell items at the airport, promising at customers that the item will be changed with no difficulties. I believe it is a technique for selling more at the Gatwick airport, but it should not be done at customer's expenses. I first notified you about this on the July 2nd, 2017. It is simply unacceptable that my complaint has not been addressed and I believe the issue should have been resolved by now that it is 19th August.
