I originally purchased a flight to Portugal for November , counting on my military son to be able to meet me there for a week to visit his 99 year old great grandmother and then return back with me. After purchasing said tickets at a reasonable price my son mentioned that he would no longer be able to go because of a military obligation. I contacted justfly to be able to transfer my tickets for another day since I was not allowed to cancel. I paid a 150 justfly fee and incurred an extra charge of 60 because of the price difference of the flight and a 199 penalty by the airline. That afternoon my son got confirmation that he would now be able to go and I immediately contacted justfly to get the tickets that I originally purchased back. they refunded me the airline penalty and the 60 difference, however, now the seats were no longer the price I got them but instead 250 dollars more. I had incurred the penalty again and the 250 on top of it. This flight with all the charges doubled in price. Now I'm not blaming anyone for the changes but in military life things definitely change from one moment to the next. The fact that I had just changed them that morning and not even 12 hours passed, and now had to pay the 250 more really upset me. I understood the penalty fee, however the over 250 ticket difference really blows my mind and no one can help me get that ticket price back. They said that my seat was sold to someone else. I never had a seat, I never reserved a particular seat, it is just another opening. If it wasn't for losing the cost of two tickets I would have simply just canceled everything because at this point I don't really feel like going anymore knowing that I am paying double what I started with.
