We Purchased a mattress on September 1, 2024. I was so excited it was the top of line KingsDown on sale. However from the moment we tried it out there was something wrong nothing like the bed we tested in the show room it had a lump and unevenness. When I contacted Leon's and explained that we did not purchase the "mattress protector because it gave an exchange warranty only" also additionally $200. ( Side note: I already have protector, heating pad and feather topper it didn't make sense especially as exchange only in our eyes means down grade and what will Leon's give money difference back?)
This being said I brought up that I just want the mattress that we thought we purchased without defects. Leon's did agree to send out an inspector so it can be reported back to manufacturer. It was noted that there was a 10 m bump but they feel it was ok and within a normal range. At this point we were not satisfied and a second person was sent out as follow up again notes made but no return call from customer service. On multiple occasions the staff advised that they would have staff return call because they were on lunch and on the time the staff who was dealing with it promised she would call one way or another by 9pm that evening.
I am the nicest and patient person but enough is enough I will shop with stores that actually offer costumer sleep guarantees, good return policies and good customer service. I contacted KingsDown directly about warranty they state that in Canada the retailer is responsible for service and warranty issues which puts the responsibility in Leon's discretion.
