Bought LG $3,000 refrigerator in 2017. Has had multiple evaporator fans replaced while under a 5 year warranty. Sounds like a freight train in your kitchen when needs that part. QUIT COOLING completely JULY 4. Tech diagnosis charge 137.75 Tech said needed compressor (under warranty)and sealed system parts. Repair service was trying to charge for all the sealed system parts. They are under 7 year warranty. Sent pic of warranty book and receipt so now had to pay $477 for labor. But at least not paying for parts like they tried to charge for also. Shouldn’t repair company know about the warranties or look it up? Then we had to wait for them to approve that from LG. I guess sometimes LG doesn’t honor their warranty?? After multiple tech visits with new compressor, new sealed system parts installed ..still not cooling. It’s now 8/28. Now LG tells tech to try new electronic board which with labor is $400.76 so how do we know if what they are saying will work? We would have bought a new one to start with when this one quit if we had to do it over. DON’T REPAIR JUST BUY A DIFFERENT BRAND!! We have an old Maytag 20 year old one in the garage that is still working and cooling …thank goodness!! We called LG customer service today. She couldn’t find our case and said I’ll just call you back later after waiting on hold. What company does that?? No call back yet. It’s been about 21\2 hours. Oh also, the new LG parts they replace are under warranty for 30 days repair service says. What a joke! NOT HAPPY!!
