I booked a short trip to Venice via Love Holidays this year. There website seemed very helpful and professional and it was easy to book. However, after needing to make alterations to my trip (way in advance of going), the request was dealt with by refusing with no explanation given, even though I had ensured to have a transferable option on my holiday booking (for an additional fee, which I was happy to pay).
After four to five requests I was then told the hotel was the issue and nothing could be done. However, I contacted the hotel directly and they had no issue with the change, but it had to be via Love Holidays. This again was the case for the flights.
As this went on for sometime it got to the point were the holiday could no longer be changed and the entire trip was wasted, loosing a lot of money and time trying to deal with this issue.
When I then tried to go through their complaints procedure none of the customer services team was willing to deal with my complaint, instead I had a scripted response stating “they were sorry I felt that way” and then ended the conversation.
I’m sure this company is easy to use when a holiday goes to plan, however if additional support is required there is a very good chance this type of extremely poor customer service will be given. I will be sure to avoid this company for future holidays.
