If I could leave zero stars I would. I'll start with a positive. We had a perfect trip to Venice last year for our wedding anniversary with loveholidays. I can't fault it at all. Flights and hotel were great. I then booked a trip to Iceland at the beginning of the year with them. They contacted us a month before we left to say our flights had been changed. We had a choice of accepting the new outbound flight or cancelling the whole trip. We had to cancel as we would have lost a whole day and night of our trip, which is a lot if you're only going for 3 nights. If we had accepted the new outbound flight, they were only offering us £100 between us for the inconvenience. The hotel cost more than that a night! By this point we had already booked and paid for, an airport hotel and airport parking so we were going to be out of pocket. They weren't in the least bothered. Very luckily, we managed to book another break that fitted those dates, with another holiday company. But they really couldn't have cared less and weren't interested in trying to help us.
In my own stupidity, and the lovely Venice trip probably still on my mind, I booked to go to Finland with loveholiday in November. I've now had notification to say there's been a flight change (again) to the homeward bound flight this time. It's the day AFTER we're supposed to come home. Again, airport car parking etc already booked and paid for, so that's messed up. But there is no mention on the email about our accommodation (it's a package holiday). Where do we stay the extra day? Have they extended our stay at our accommodation (no mention in the email)? How much extra will it cost, if anything? Well here's the thing. If you are not travelling with them in the next month, it is IMPOSSIBLE to speak to anyone at loveholiday. Trust me, we've tried. You only get to 'talk' to some robot, i.e. not a real person, and it's as much use as a chocolate teapot! Got through on a different number and spoke to a woman, who point-blank wouldn't help and said she only dealt with people travelling in the next month. She directed us back to robo-woman. Long story short. WE had to contact the hotel in Finland ourselves, to find out if loveholiday had booked us another night. They hadn't. WE'VE had to do that ourselves at an extra cost of £150 for one night! I will NEVER book with this company ever again. They may be OK if everything goes to plan, but if there's any sort of problem and you need to speak to them, you have NO CHANCE of contacting them, unless you're travelling in the next month. Please avoid for your own sanity!
