I booked a holiday to Egypt for 10 days but, unfortunately, had to cancel due to an accident. I've tried contacting loveholidays to address this issue, but I've had difficulty getting through because my number is already registered for the Egypt trip. Each time I call loveholidays, I've had to use a different number.
When I finally reached them and explained my situation, they directed me to call ATOL insurance. However, when I contacted ATOL, the staff member I spoke with was not pleased. She explained that ATOL only provides support in cases where loveholidays is bankrupt and expressed frustration that loveholidays is directing all customers with issues to them. She also mentioned that she would be filing a complaint about this.
Despite my attempts to contact loveholidays, I faced difficulties because my number was already registered for the trip. When I finally managed to speak with a representative, they asked me to pay £58 to avoid my account being closed, which I paid. They also requested a letter confirming my accident, so I sent my hospital letter and sick note. However, they did not accept these documents and asked for a medical certificate signed by my GP, which cost me £30.
After providing the requested medical certificate, I called to confirm its receipt and was told not to call again as they would contact me. Eventually, I received an email stating that my case was closed and I would not receive any refund, despite having provided the medical certificate they requested and their confirmation of its receipt.I’m very disappointed
