Please please please avoid Love holidays. Book with last minute.com or another provider
I cannot stress enough how terrible my experience with Loveholidays has been. My flight was booked for the 2nd of November, but just days before, on the 29th of October, I received an email from them stating that my hotel was closed and that I would be moved to a different hotel. To make matters worse, this new hotel was 40 minutes away from the original one, meaning I would no longer be staying with my friends, who had booked the same holiday and were not informed of any changes.
I immediately requested a cancellation and a full refund, as the whole point of my holiday was to be with my friends. Loveholidays told me they couldn't refund the flights, only the hotel. I agreed to that, asking for a quick refund on the hotel so I could make my own accommodation arrangements. Days went by with no response, and by the time my flight was approaching, I still had no confirmation or clarity.
On the day of my flight, I called Loveholidays several times, and each time I was given different, contradictory answers. One advisor promised a full refund, but it never came. When I followed up, they denied any promise had been made. Their customer service is a nightmare—slow, unhelpful, and full of lies.
I was left feeling completely abandoned, with no place to stay in a foreign country, and as a result, I suffered a significant mental health breakdown. The stress and frustration from dealing with Loveholidays ultimately landed me in A&E.
This whole experience has ruined what was supposed to be a joyful trip. Not only have I lost money, but the emotional toll has been devastating. I would strongly advise against booking with Loveholidays. Their lack of communication, dishonesty, and disregard for customer well-being has left me feeling utterly betrayed.
