I purchased a new gas grill and the assistant manager helped me load it in my pickup truck. We tied it down with elastic straps. Not thinking, we put it in with the lid facing the front. When I pulled onto the highway a big gust of wind flipped the cover up and sucked the thing right out of the truck and crashed it onto the highway in a hundred pieces. When I got all the parts back in the truck, I went back and asked for Michael, who had just helped me. I showed him the destroyed grill and said, "I'm not blaming you, can you do anything anyway?" He just shook his head and said he would have to call Ryan, the store manager. Ryan comes out and I told him what happened and said...."I'm not blaming you, can you do anything?" He thought about it and said, "everyone blames us. Give him a new one Mike." Whenever I tell this story, people always say, "where was that again", and I say Lowe's in Carbondale, Illinois. This happened last year, but I will be forever grateful to those guys. Thank you Lowe's. Bill.
