I joined Macros Inc. in the beginning of June 2023 at 181 lbs. A month later, my husband passed away after a brief illness. For most of my life, I was a "stress" or "emotional eater." Last summer and the months that followed were more than emotional and stressful, to say the least. My coach Brooke Orton was truly a life saver. She was patient, kind, helpful, informative and supportive. Over the past year, she helped me learn to focus on proteins, healthy fruits and vegetables, portion allocation and how to eat mindfully. Most importantly, she encouraged me to understand and accept all the emotions I was experiencing by losing my husband, and to allow myself some grace. Without this coaching support with Macros, Inc., I probably would have handled my life over the past year, with my former habits of stress eating. Instead, I'm 20 pounds lighter. I am better equipped to make sensible meal choices, in spite of anything else happening in my life, no matter how tragic or devastating.
