I had a coach last year who helped me lose 10lbs in the 3 months I was signed up. She was good, but I always felt like I needed a little more in-depth coaching experience. This year when I signed up I specifically asked for a more hands-on coach to dig into my practices. I was paired with Eugene Coetzee, and at first I was concerned about the time difference since he's in South Africa and I'm in the USA. This was the best pairing I could've ever imagined! Eugene understands how all my issues (age, OA, Fibro) plays into this weight loss journey and is so encouraging of what I'm already doing and what I can push myself to do. He takes the time to look at my individual food choices, making suggestions on how to get the most 'bang for my buck', and reminding me to round out my meals the right way. I personally loved when he told me to work at "choosing more low calorie high volume foods" when I would've said EAT YOUR VEGGIES 🤣 The encouragement I get from Eugene is probably the most important factor in this relationship. I know I have the knowledge to eat and move to lose weight, but Eugene's gentle nudges are helping me doing all of that with the excitement and anticipation I've never experienced before. Well done Eugene! You've made a true believer out of me in needing coaching!!
