I started with a Coach, Tina Cox, on the Black Friday Sale in 2022. I was nutrition only and was with her for a year. I hit my weight/fat loss goals, trained for and completed a full marathon, without gaining weight. My Coach reached out to Endurance coaches to better assist me in properly fueling for endurance events, nutrition, and getting all of my questions answered. It was such a better marathon training and experience than my first one two years prior, where I gained weight in my training. I also cut 45 minutes off my finish time. I learned so much about myself and nutrition. My Coach really, really helped me to discover my "food issues" that were keeping me from reaching my goals. After one year, I stopped with my coaching, thinking I was ready to go solo. Due to the marathon training, I never learned to live in maintenance as my coaching ended just a few weeks after my marathon. Tina, my Coach, tried to help me prepare as much as possible, but I was mentally done. It didn't work, I then slipped and regained some fat. Six months later I was receiving "please come back" emails from Macros, Inc. and decided I needed Tina back in my life. I wanted to come back to Coaching, but I only would if she could be my Coach again. I reached out to her on social media and asked her if she would accept me back. She welcomed me and encouraged me to do both Nutirtion and Training. I was very nervous about the training and was not comfortable in the gym. But, I went ahead with it. Tina really cares about my goals, and respects what I am willing to do, and not do, to achieve those goals. She got me onto the weight floor at the gym, slowly incorporating new equipment, encouraging form check videos, and more importantly, listening and adapting when a particular exercise doesn't work for me - for whatever reason. Tina is so intelligent, compassionate and has such a high Emotional Intelligence. She "gets" me. She encourages me, sends me articles or information to help me understand concepts, has helped me discover that I am an "abstainer" and not a "moderator" when it comes to food, this was such a welcome discovery. I realized there is not something wrong with me, I am just more successful if I work in my strengths. I value what she brings to my life, I am a better person, emotionally and physically, because of our Coaching relationship. Eventually I will stop working with a Coach, but even when that day comes, the lessons that Tina has taught me will live on. She encouraged me and gave me "permission" to give myself grace and not let one decision ruin an entire day. She is a valuable asset to Macros, Inc.
