The lads who canvassed the street to get some business were all pleasant and happy to explain things, saying they were just getting people to try it for 2 deliveries and if we liked it we could continue or if not we could just pay for the two deliveries and that was fine.
We thought yes happy to try as always thought would be great to try a milk round again. Being a national company but using British farms is good but would be nice to be able to support a few local farms ( may look in to this in the future) first delivery arrived as expected and we didn't even hear them. Milk was fine ( 2ltr semi in plastic bottle) but couldn't really distinguish from our normal milk from other sources at half the price. Was half hoping it would be fresher and tastier like i remembered getting from the milkman as a kid . We decided that we would probably not continue after the 'trial' 2 we were due so was expecting to just get the 2nd one and then a call to discuss our experience and settle the bill.
From the day after the lads signed us up i was hounded with texts and calls to set up a direct debit. Knowing we weren't continuing and that we were only trialing at this stage it was a bit concerning and i was reluctant to do so. Eventually on the day before we were due the 2nd delivery i answered the phone again ( having ignored a few repeated calls or being at work at time they called) to a very friendly lady who was just enquiring about what we thought and to set up direct debit. i said again we would like to not continue after our 2 initial ones at which point her attitude changed. When she couldn't convince me she had to put me through to the cancellation team ( weird as i don't recall signing up to anything)
A gentleman answered who again tried to convince me it was a great product ( im not denying it is its just not for us) and he too became quite rude in his manner at this point to the point he took payment for the first delivery and said we wouldn't get our 2nd . I was more than happy to pay for the 2 we were expecting so they lost a sale there.. and the bad vibe the customer service team left me with has prompted this review. Shame. Friendly sales, a product that has no faults but poor customer service ....
