I had to change the front wheel assembly on my MGI cart after it ran into a sprinkler hole about 4" deep. It broke both sides of the pivoting axle where the front wheel folds under for storage. Changing out the assembly was not difficult and I think anyone con do it. Now I keep the cart closer where, hopefully, I will see and avoid such hazards. It might be a good idea for the engineers to test this area for strength. I didn't think to speak to customer service to see if it could have been a warranted part. I just ordered a new assembly and installed it myself.
