Item damaged. I have to pay to return
I ordered a few items for home delivery. These arrived in a huge box which was ridiculous considering my purchases we small to medium in size. As a result of the gross packaging one of the items was completely smashed. I contacted Millets and attached some photos so they could clearly see my problem and kindly requested a replacement. I was advised that I needed to return the item and would get a refund. I explained that I cannot reuse the packaging as sent to me as it was grossly oversized and as such would need to buy packaging and pay postage to return and the cost of doing this is greater than the damaged product. I cannot see the sense in this. They have photos which clearly show the item is theirs, damaged beyond use and came in unsuitable packaging. Whilst I appreciate that there are standard protocols for returns, surely common sense should prevail in situations such as these. I simply want a replacement product and am not asking for anymore than I have paid for.
