Having purchased the gold warranty that is supposed to cover everything, it clearly does not.. I have a severe problem with my car which I have had to pay to get the problem diagnosed, as the garage that they recommend said they could not diagnose so it would have to go to a dealer. No way would they pay for anything at the main dealer so I have had to go to several specialists who have now diagnosed the problem. In the meantime someone bumped into the car and in a body shop getting repaired under their insurance.
My claim got rejected without me knowing but noticed it had cleared from the app. After calling, it is my fault as it should have been done and completed with 30 days. Easier said than done when you have to book the car in, take time off work etc..
With lots of persuasion they said they will reopen for 7 days.
The same day I sent the quote to them for the repair/ replace of the diagnosed faulty part, Along with a video of the suspected issue. Now the mechanic must send them video / photo evidence of the faulty part dissembled to prove the fault. This part according to the mechanic is a swap out part, and therefore would not waste his time "trying" to break the part down. In his expert opinion, the evidence would be once the part is replaced and the fault gone. That should be enough. I booked the car in to the garage, the earliest they can do it is the end of Nov. Informing Momentum of this still isn't good enough as this needs to all be done within the 7 days. ??? Oh and because the car is still "Drivable" at present they would probably not pay out??? To describe the fault if you were to put your foot down to accelerate is sound and feels like the bottom of the car is going to fall out..
To suit your ever changing goal post.. How am I going to get it diagnosed without moving it ??
Why is there no flexibility in certain cases. ??
Just because a vehicle can drive (limited) does not mean there is no major fault?
Haw can you justify having a swap out item which is the problem (rear differential) then needing to be broken down, incurring more time and cost ? Why can't you just be happy that the customer just feels happy and safe in the vehicle they paid £15k for 5 months ago..
A service that we pay for is all what's wanted.
