I recently went into your store in Hanley stoke on trent. At the tobacco counter I asked for 10 silk cut cigarettes. The lady at the counter opened the drawer and informed me that they only had twenties. I then asked her what else they had in tens at which point she refused to open the drawer to show me. She informed me that they can get fined £5000 for opening the drawer if a purchase isn't made. I was astonished. Is morrisons really interpreting the law in this way. If I am buying cigarettes I expect the common courtesy of being allowed to see what choice is on offer. Can you please clarify exactly which part of any legislation your employee used to refuse to open the cabinet.
