I bought a Gold history car check report for a 1998 sports car that I'd seen on line advertised by a private seller. My report confirmed that everything was in order with regard to finance, crash damage and not having been stolen etc. It did raise one point that the advert didn't in that the car had been an imported model, however the seller did point this out when I met him and I bought the car. It's reassuring to know that the car you are going to see especially if you are travelling along way is 'in the clear'. In my opinion getting a report is certainly worth doing.
