I recently had 2 vehicle checks done, when buying a motorbike. Couldn't have been happier with the process, which I first did online and then later did by phone. The report was clear, and I was promptly sent a copy of it by email.
They advised me to call back when I went to look at the bike, to have the VIN/Chassis number verified before I paid for it. I went to see the bike in the evening, about 8pm., but when I phoned the number given on the report, all I heard was a recording saying "the office was now closed".
I crossed my fingers and paid for bike anyway, providing the VIN/Chassis number by telephone the next day. All was OK, thankfully, but I would have really liked someway of verifying the VIN/Chassis number before paying for the bike. Maybe a 24hr mobile phone solution would work?
