it is expensive to pay these checks however , I had won a car on ebay, the seller appeared genuine and the sale was about to go through, luckily I did a hpi check on the vehicle, and it revealed that the vehicles mileage had been lowered twice over the last 5 years, so this gave me the vital info that the vehicles mileage wasn't genuine, bad news for the seller good news for me. I nearly ended up with a rotten egg. and saved me 100's if not 1000's of pounds.
