The tags turned out great. When I wanted to get a set to to replace my Dad's originals I did a lot of research. I knew his serial number and all the info to get a set done. When I found your website during a search, I knew that you could make them as they were when he got his. The older version with the notch in it were the ones issued during his time frame. He had gone to basic training in the summer of 1954. He pretty much got rid of all of his issued gear and uniforms after he left the Army. He served for thirteen years and left a Captain. It was just something he did and never saw it as a big deal. I made it a big to him because he deserved it. My three sons have served and are still serving in the military as did I. I have a shelf with our boot camp and basic training portraits along side my Dad's. The dog tags made it all perfect. He is gone now and I still salute his portrait everyday.
