What a nightmare! Despite living in Canada, I ordered a dress for my daughter's prom from New York Dress. Initially, the color didn't match the picture, so I requested a return, which was handled promptly, resulting in a store credit. However, when we tried to use the credit for another dress, the desired size and color were out of stock. After receiving a notification that the dress was available again, I promptly placed an order, only to be informed days later that it was unavailable, resulting in another store credit. I requested a refund my intention being to buy it on another website.The customer service representative I spoke with was unpleasant and unprofessional, insisting it was store policy. Despite my insistence that their confirmation email implied availability, it took multiple calls and exchanges for them to agree to escalate the issue to a manager. Meanwhile, the dress became available again on their website , so I ordered it once more. To my dismay, it arrived stained and wrinkled, far from brand new. Despite sending pictures as requested, there was no follow-up until I called again. The representative offered a refund or the option to repurchase the dress, but there were no apologies or attempts to compensate for the inconvenience, including the extra shipping and customs costs incurred due to their mistakes. It's not just about the additional expenses; it's about losing trust in New York Dress to provide the perfect dress for my daughter, who has worked hard as an excellent student. Now, I have to disappoint her by telling her she won't have the dress she envisioned. And I get to enccured all the extra cost of shipping and customs for nothing. So frustrated
