You could wear it straight out of the box. The dress is absolutely gorgeous. The photos didn't do it justice. The Modessa brand is definitely made for taller ladies, and will require extensive alterations for my daughter's 5'1" frame but it will be worth it. Will definitely shop here for our next formal occasion.
