NURX is solely a telehealth service and does not have any physical offices in any city. NURX operates on an asynchronous telehealth model, meaning the providers do not office visits or video visits. Communication with NURX occurs only through their app or web messaging. My regular PCP and One Medical (a subscription health service) can provide better service. If NURX needs more information from you, you will still have to visit your PCP's office for the necessary tests, or NURX will send you test kits at your expense. Even though I already have a prescription from my PCP/One Medical doctor, NURX still requested more information that I couldn't remember, such as: Approximately what year were you diagnosed with Hep B? ● What year were you treated? ● What medication was used for treatment? ● At the time you were treated, were you having symptoms? NURX implies that your regular PCP or One Medical doctor does not meet their standards. This information was not enough for NURX, and they requested all tests to be repeated. My PCP/One Medical doctor is already monitoring my condition for PrEP medication. If you try to call their customer service for help, it can feel helpless. They will ask for your phone number, name, date of birth, and the last four digits of the credit card on file. If you are using an FSA account and don't have it handy, NURX will not be able to assist you further. They cannot verify your identity with other informations on your profile. Dealing with this company can be very frustrating and stressful.
