I want to leave a review on their website but can't seem to. Their services were useless. Told I can not take combined contraceptives despite it never being a problem in my life with any other provider in the last 17 years. Taking steroids for cortisol replacement is NOT a reason to refuse contraceptives. This is totally unscientific, breaches standard of care, and is unacceptable. They are barring me from necessary medical care for no reason, as there is NO indication nor has there ever been that it unsafe to use contraceptives while on hydrocortisone. Many people with adrenal insufficiency or on steroids take combined OCPs as I have for YEARS prior. The Dr who was supposed to give me care thru their app is not knowledgeable and their care is a joke. "Chronic steroid use" is totally different from physiologic replacement doses of hydrocortisone and this kind of confusion on Nurx's part is the result of an inadequate understanding of cortisol and its importance physiologically. Due to the extremely limited and even ignorant understanding of cortisol replacement dosing vs chronic steroid use, I absolutely cannot in conscience recommend Nurx to anyone.
