I would give a zero star review, but it will not let me. I had a card given to me for Long Service and due to the limited places you can actually spend it, held onto it. After checking my balance, I noticed after a period of time, they started charging £0.90 per month for the upkeep, which to me, makes little sense as it is an account that just exists on a computer, and should not incur a cost.
Checking the balance this week, I spot 2 transaction I had not made for online gift cards; I immediately rang to report the issue, and was told to contact the police and get a crime number and then complete the online form they were sending me a secure link to. I duly complied and submitted the form, where a response within 1 working day was promised. After 2 working days passed, nothing, so I went online and completed another online form complaining; I then received another email saying they would contact me in the next 1-2 days. As This was unacceptable, I rang them again, but they were of little help and could do nothing. I then received an emailed response to the complaint and they had completely misread the situation and thought I would be happy with the refunding of some of the fees; I then replied again advising the situation, when they told me that to send a new card they would have to charge me a £35 fee; to me this is unacceptable for something that was not my fault.
If you ever receive one of these cards, my advice, spend it immediately and do not ever think of buying one as a gift!
