Due to health reasons, my wife and I were making plans to move close to our daughters who live in Minneapolis, MN. We contacted the leading realty company in our Tucson, AZ location. The Tucson realty company suggested we list our home for $299,000. We saw Open Door promotions on the internet. We filled out the necessary Open Door information. We received an offer of 310,000 from Open Door. We did not reply to the $310,000 offer. A week later, Open Door sent us a $320,000 offer. Now Open Door had our attention. We made contact on a Friday and on Monday, Open Door sent a photographer to our house. On Tuesday, Open Door sent a proposal of $328,000. Open Door's Service fees and Estimated closing cost were list than our Tucson, realty company. The estimated net proceeds from Open Door were $309,000. We shared these Open Door with 8 close friends. The unanimous reaction, was that the Open Door offer sounded "too good to be true." ! mean, we are talking 29,000 more than the local realty company was suggesting. No showings!!! All we had to do was take photos of the house and outside yard to show that the house was completely vacated. I should mention that my wife and I our 87 and 85 years old. Yes, we accepted the $328,000 offer immediately. We closed electronically and the money was wired to our bank within the hour after the closing. Yes, moving is a major task. Especially for two senior citizens. However, the actual sale of the house was painless. Open House did everything they promised. Looking to sell your home?
