Thanks to Opodo my holidays are ruined. I booked flights to Cape Town from Berlin with Opodo. The app and Opodo CS bot says that my booking is confirmed without any changes. However I received an email from the airlines (Air France) that the departure has been changed from Berlin to Amsterdam, after I contacted the airlines it turned out that all my flights are cancelled. Opodo app is not reflecting anything, the departure date is coming closer. After contacting Opodo Customer Service I was promised to receive an email up to 72 hours - time passed and still nothing. If I wouldn’t reached out to airlines myself I would realised that my flights are cancelled on the airport. What an incompetent company. As travelling agency you should be the one informing your customers about any changes not other way around. Because situation was so unclear I didn’t want to book another expensive ticket as Opodo said all is fine and confirmed. Now there is 1,5 weeks to my planned holidays, they are still not doing anything about that and it looks like I will have to spend my holidays at home. It was my first and last experience with Opodo, I always used kiwi and never had any complications even in the event of cancellation. I don’t know if I will ever get my money back, as this company looks like a big scum.
