I spent over £3,500 on flights with Opodo. The airline cancelled one leg of the flight and could not offer an acceptable alternative (only offered one alternative that involved a 12 hour+ stop over!). Opodo did not bother to look into options with other airlines. They seem to deliberately make it difficult to call them, instead pointing you to the website which is useless when trying to deal with relatively complex arrangements. I requested a full refund once it was clear no feasible alternatives were going to be offered and booked flights with a different airline at very similar times via a different website. After repeatedly chasing and being promised a refund was coming, I finally got £2.800 back. I called again and asked for the remaining £700 to be told that this would be paid once recovered from the airline in 7-10 days and that I was definitely due a full refund given the airline cancelled my flight. I then get an email a week later saying nothing else is due as I need to pay a penalty for the return leg of the flight given this was not cancelled by the airline, only the outbound flight. Utterly unacceptable. AVOID OPODO
