I booked a round-trip flight from Hamburg to Montevideo via OPODO on 14 September 2024 (Booking reference: 18957034311) for €1,600.97.
The airline (Lufthansa) immediately cancelled the booking, as the layover times were too short and the flight could not be accepted. Lufthansa informed OPODO right away, but OPODO never informed me.
I only found out the flight was invalid when I tried to check in just one day before departure. OPODO continued to show the flight as confirmed and even emailed me a confirmation the night before.
This last-minute discovery caused serious disruption to my travel plans and additional costs (hotels, transport, etc.). Lufthansa rebooked me on a flight two days later, but my holiday was ruined.
I submitted a formal complaint and refund request to OPODO with all documentation on 15 February 2025 — they never responded.
I am now seeking a full refund and damages through PayPal and the European Consumer Centre.
This was not just a mistake — it was a complete failure in service and communication. At minimum, I expected OPODO to reply.
