Probably the worst customer experience I have ever had with a company.
We reserved a car for a few days and arrived in the evening at our destination only to be told that as we had not arrived at the time of the booking (just a few hours afterwards – the car was still reserved for during this time!!), we were classed as a ‘no show’ and that we had lost our booking.
This was not made clear at all upon booking – in addition to being left stranded in another country late at night, we were told that there would be NO REFUND!! Unbelievable – you pay for a car for 4 days and suddenly they take your money without providing any service whatsoever… we were left worse off that if we had booked with them in the first place.
I called to explain our situation and was greeted with an unsympathetic response mentioning that it was all hidden in the Ts and Cs. I was promised a call back from a supervisor, which we waited over an hour for until giving up and purchasing from another provider. We have still not received the promised call.
I have tried multiple times to contact them on their messenger service… most of the time you get timed out after waiting for 20mins and sent back to their useless annoying bot.
I finally managed to track down their email address and have not received a response (I emailed them over 2 weeks ago now). As someone who has worked in customer service previously I would only ever leave a negative review as a last resort but I have exhausted all means of trying to contact this company. All they have done is avoid contact and trying to help in any way to resolve the situation. If anyone from Opodo is reading this - PLEASE DO YOUR JOB AND CONTACT ME.
