1) As Ofgem have given all six of these energy companies, plus the gas that they provide, the green light, starting January 1st, twenty twenty-five, to increase the gas and electric prices, along with the standing charge fees, yet again set by them to themselves on both sets of meters, set differently for the gas and electric. These charges are going up as well, and they are set independently from one another, with Ofgem giving them the green light to set them at whatever they want. 2) These companies have made your lives miserable in order to financially gain wealth and posterity at the expense of your circumstances. They are building their own wealth and future on the misery of others, forcing you to pay for their profits while they thrive off your struggle. 3) And for those who locked themselves into fixed deals, thinking they’d be better off, they’ve been screwed over by all six of these companies. These companies worked hard this year to lock people into fixed deals, making them believe they were going to come out on top compared to people who didn’t lock themselves into a deal. But they didn’t. In fact, they’ve come out worse because they believed they would get a better deal, only to find out they were wrong. The only ones who truly benefitted from locking people into these deals were the staff who worked tirelessly to get people to sign up, in order to secure their own paychecks, while screwing over customers who thought they would be better off financially by doing so. 4) These companies must be held accountable for the financial strain they are causing to households across the country. They must be made to drop their prices and bring down the service charges that are set by themselves and regulated by Ofgem, who have given them free reign to set them at whatever they choose. This is not acceptable, and these actions must be addressed. 5) They are gaining wealth and posterity at your expense to themselves.
