HOLE PUNCHED IN MY PARCEL BROKE CONTENTS-NO COMPENSATION GIVEN

I posted a carefully wrapped Model Car via PArcel2Go and took out the so called 'loss insurance' and sent the wrapped Model Car off via a Hermes Agent.
When the parcel Model Car arrived, the recipient noticed a 4cm hole 'PUNCHED' in the base, causing the Model Car inside to be broken.
I made my claim providing pictures and receipt and on two later occasions, more information and documents to state my claim.
A few days later, I received the following refusal email:
Unfortunately, the item you sent is protected for loss only, which means we’re unable to compensate you for damages to this item."
SILLY ME FOR THINKING 'LOSS INSURANCE' and a reasonable expectation that my property would be taken reasonable cared for and the subsequent DESTRUCTION OF THE CONTENTS was COVERED BY THEM.
My claim was only for about £12, which is a pittance by comparison to what I have spent with them over the years.
What a sad fact.
Needless to say, I will NEVER use them again... but I suppose I am not important to them anyway.
