I booked a next day delivery and dropped my parcel in plenty of time for pick up on December 19th - delivery December 20th. This was a food parcel for my mother who is blind, disabled and lives 350 miles from me - it was full of treats for her as she is unable to go shopping herself. Parcel Compare did not book the collection with the courier and after chasing on my part the parcel was eventually collected on December 27th and delivered December 30th. A lot of the contents of the parcel had to be disposed of obviously. When I contacted Parcel Compare they said I hadn't booked a timed delivery so they were not liable. How can it be that I booked and paid for a next day delivery - they accepted the booking, knowing it was a food parcel - and yet they refuse to accept any responsibility for not upholding their contract. I have asked how to escalate this complaint and have been told there's nothing I can do about it.
