“They took 2 weeks to collect my parcel, then subsequently lost it, then told me that's the end of the matter. It was a returns item which I lost the value of. They claim it's in their T&Cs that they can lose parcels without consequence, unless you pay them £4.50 to not lose it.
You won't be entitled to Evri/other standard protection if you go through them. Book direct and DO NOT USE.”
“Be careful if shipping abroad. My shipment from Italy to the UK was held up in Italian customs as the paperwork provided by ParcelCompare wasn't adequate. A valid VAT number enabled for export as an EORI code were not provided. ParcelCompare said that I need to provide this number of which I cannot as I am an individual not a registered company. After that, excuses were used such as they can't control what customs do even though I told them exactly what customs required. In the end I had to collect the parcel from the airport. Customer services were responsive (hence the 2 star review) though no refund was given even after I made the request.”
“Do not use parcel compare! Been waiting for 4 weeks for my parcel to be delivered and absolutely no customer service. Ignoring emails and when do answer they are rude! Yogesh needs some training”
“I don't suggest anyone to use this web site. I paid 70 pound for a shipment of just 2 kg in one day and I received my box after 5 days. In addition, I tried to contact them and call them but I didn't get any answer. I don't recommend it.”
“The parcel arrived smashed, and its terms and conditions are almost impossible to adhere to (for instance, the parcel still has to be wrapped in its original wrapping - well, how are you meant to know it is damaged?”
“Disgraceful customer service.
Paid for 48 hour delivery mid December. Parcel didn't arrive until mid Jan and ruined my gift for my new born neice.
They then took an extra payment out of my account with no notification or warning. To rub salt in the wound this the extra payment of 40% of total was for an incorrect shipping address, when i used their own website's address generator to input it. They then blamed the delay on the address being incorrect, which it was not. I send packages to that exact address all the time. We are now in February and they still haven't resolved my complaints.”
“Be very aware that there are hidden terms - I signed up to send one parcel they very very sneakily added my card details to reoccurring payments then added extras and just take money out of your bank 6 weeks later with no warning —- nothing to do with original payment for 1 parcel”
“This is a scam
They told me UPS added charges of £82 more to my package because I failed to pack in a cardboard box.
When I raised this issue via my tracking number directly with UPS they told me there were NO extra charges placed on my package and that parcelcompare.com are fraudulent charging me extras.
I went back to ParcelCompare with this information and they took the money from my account without my permission
DO NOT USE AND DONOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANK DETAILS”
“Dreadful. I've used ParcelCompare since just before COVID to send my products around the UK. I build and sell bespoke PCs. The service has always been good. I've never had any issues. But the measure of a good company is how they support you when there are problems.
You will be asked about your product and encouraged to get insurance. The insurance isn't with the carrier. It's with ParcelCompare. I had packed the PC in a PC box. The type of box that all PCs are packed with. It turned up at my client with a smashed glass side panel but it was shattered rather than broken. So it's an impact issue.
My client took pictures that matched the policy requirement and these were sent on.
My insurance request was rejected due to the packaging not being acceptable. Let that sink in for a while.
So I paid for insurance. It was damaged in transit and I am now left to pay to resolve my clients issue too.
Moral of the story? They will do everything they can to not pay out on insurance. Be very careful and aware. I did everything I am supposed to and am now out of pocket but they still have my insurance payment on their profit and loss ledger.
And for the sake of it they lost a loyal and repeat customer. Disgraceful.”
“This company charged me more than 3x the amount of my initial agreed payment of £53.00, 7 days after. The sent me an invoice for the delivery of a parcel on the 14/01/25.
7 days later without me knowing, the charged me an additional £164.63 for the same delivery which was worth more than the item I sent back.
This company charged me twice sending me a second invoice for the same item 7 days later at more than 3x the first invoice.
This is down right un acceptable and boarder-line criminal.”
“I should have checked these reviews first. This company is a scam, they charged me a fee 4x the original delivery value 7 days after delivery for no reason at all.”
“SCAM! DO NOT USE!
Item was not collected.... we reported this and not untill we sent over CCTV footage on our house to prove there was no collection, was it then rebooked... again the courier never arrived for the second time.... we then had to wait for the courier to confirm they had not attempted to collect for a second time as we asked for a refund. They came up with every excuse not give us a refund. Barley any communication. Awful customer service. This is a SCAM. This all started on the 6th of January. It is now the 20th January... we have had to e mail them AGAIN as we have either been ignored or given no communication... they have now sent a credit note. If we had no contacted them again we would have never got the credit note clearly.”
“I don’t even want to leave 1 star. But do not use this company under any circumstance. They’ve taken a second amount of money, £166 to be precise saying my calculations of weight and dimensions were wrong - incorrect. And now I’m not being refunded by the recipient of the parcel due to damage. I’m now £500 down. Parcel compare you are an outrage and I wish I had seen these bad reviews prior.”
“Parcel compare sent the wrong information to customs causing received to be charged incorrectly. Will not admit fault and will not refund. Passing the buck and not dealing with the problem. I paid them for a service, they failed to deliver”
“They are cheaper in the market because there is a reason behind. They will make you pay so much extra upon delivery otherwise you are not able to get your parcel. Please read all the negative reviews and you will know. I sent new year presents to my mom abroad. The stuff cost me £120 and I paid £45 delivery charges and I know the custom in my country, it should be 30-50 pounds for this item. But upon delivery they ask my mom to pay £250 customs charges and they don’t have any proof ( not a single document to prove that they pay £250 customs ) I sent them 20 emails but only got reply once that my country customs are not giving them any invoice or details that why the customs is so high, and if I want my parcel to be delivered then I have to pay £250, I told them to send me back I don’t want to pay that much towards customs, firstly they said it will cost me £122, and now they want me to pay £400 to get parcel back to uk and if I don’t pay them they will keep the parcel. Customer service is rubbish and rude. I want to abuse them a lot but I can’t do it here, hopefully you will understand my feeling. Use other services like Evri, dpd or ups they are maybe £5 to £10 expensive but at least they are proper companies not like cowboy company like them. AVOID THEM IF YOU DONT WANT TO SUFFER MENTAL BREAKDOWN LIKE ME AFTER SPENDIND £120 + £45 I STILL NEED TO PAY £400 MORE, OTHERWISE THEIR MANAGERS OR TEAM LEADERS WILL DISTRIBUTE MY PARCEL TO THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS. I AM GOING TO COMPLAIN TO UK TRADING STANDARDS ABOUT THEIR SCAM.”
“I booked a next day delivery and dropped my parcel in plenty of time for pick up on December 19th - delivery December 20th. This was a food parcel for my mother who is blind, disabled and lives 350 miles from me - it was full of treats for her as she is unable to go shopping herself. Parcel Compare did not book the collection with the courier and after chasing on my part the parcel was eventually collected on December 27th and delivered December 30th. A lot of the contents of the parcel had to be disposed of obviously. When I contacted Parcel Compare they said I hadn't booked a timed delivery so they were not liable. How can it be that I booked and paid for a next day delivery - they accepted the booking, knowing it was a food parcel - and yet they refuse to accept any responsibility for not upholding their contract. I have asked how to escalate this complaint and have been told there's nothing I can do about it.”
“Please AVOID they just take your money!
I put the length of the item in the online form. They sent me label, I went to post my item. The lockers length was smaller. There wasn't any locker longer than my item.
They shouldn't book my item if it was longer than their locker. Now I don't know how to take refund.”
