The main post office in Bedford where our parcel was collected from is still somewhere in 90s and early 2000s.
There are no machines to aid and speed up customers posting. There are 6 counters of which 3 receive customers for parcel dropping/posting purposes.
The queue is always long and painfully slowly moving.
Witnessed a Parcelforce/Royal Mail staff member who picks up the parcels from the location. The gentleman was visually over 60 years and the poor man carries on a regular basis 3-4 boxes at once and BY HAND (that's 17-18 lb ...). There is not even a trolley provided for their staff health and greater efficiency unlike other better serviced Post Offices. Ridiculous and pathetic at the same time.
Parcelforce lost our high value International Global Priority fully insured parcel to Guernsey right away. After collection it went missing and after multiple and daily contacting of their export, customer service and claim teams altogether, this was not resolved.
The only other tracking event was from Royal Mail's Northampton Central Delivery Office, which is extremely odd, since all Parcelforce orders are processed by the nearest Milton Keynes Parcelforce depot as the two companies, although related operate separately. There onwards it was indefinitely lost.
And so right at the peak of Christmas, when our international customer expected their order they received one big, giant Disappointment instead.
PLEASE DO NOT USE PARCELFORCE for the sake of your company's reputation and good image to your customers.
