Got a message from Parcelforce last Friday saying they had tried to deliver my parcel and no one was in. They hadn’t. Partner and I were in all day and have a loud door bell. No delivery no card. Got another on Monday saying it was out for redelivery, then the 'failed to deliver' message appeared on the tracker. In all day, including the time they say they tried to deliver. A complete fabrication. No one called, no card left! Went to the depot, some distance away, first thing Tuesday to complain. Lo and behold the parcel was there, not out for redelivery. Think the system is designed to get you to collect from the depot or pay the surcharge for delivery to a local post office! They have no interest in you as a customer only your money.
