Today, for the 2nd time in a week, I waited at home the entire day for a Parcelforce deliver that never materialised. At 17.30 I checked online and was informed that there had been a 'delivery attempt' at 16.45. However, there was no notice left in my mailbox, and had someone actually attempted to ring my door, I certainly would have heard it. Today I had even left a note with an alternative way to contact me in case they weren't able to operate the intercom system for some reason. Really unacceptable service. People rearrange their work and schedules to accommodate these (failed) deliveries. An absolute waste of time and money. I hope retailers will finally realise the real cost of using such a poor 'service' and go elsewhere.
