Birthday present for recently bereaved cousin gone missing. Driver said he delivered to a neighbour, but no card was left for recipient to detail which neighbour. It is a country area where neighbours are not right next door, but friendly and they look after one another. It is odd for a driver to say he has done this, as he had to drive right past the local Post Office to get to my relative's house, and the obvious place to leave the parcel would be the Post Office if the recipient did not come to the front door. There was a surname signature, but it is a common name in that area (and not the name of the recipient). Did the driver realise the present was a bottle of wine and keep it? I hope not. Awaiting news from ParcelForce, but am also letting the wine supplier know about this: especially as his Mum's title was given to Royal Mail and as our future King I am sure HRH Prince Charles would like to know about dodgy deliveries of his Highgrove products.
