Bought a case of wine on 21st from M&S and paid extra to have it delivered the next day. Received a text message from Parcelforce on 22nd in the morning stating it was going to be delivered between 17:15 and 18:15. I had been tracking the parcel via the tracking number on Parcelforce's website. By 18:30 the tracking app wouldn't say the delivery time anymore, except it's 'out for delivery'. At 19:03 a message is sent: 'Parcelforce have attempted to deliver a parcel RF7687080 from M&S Wines today and we have left it in a safe place. Our driver will have left a card informing you of the safe place where your parcel is located'. I checked the tracking app again. Supposedly the attempt was made to deliver at 16:52. Why wait 2.5 hours to tell me that?! Parcelforce claimed it was delivered to a 'safe place', but no card was left behind to say where is that 'safe place'. Both my wife and I were home all day anyway so we would have noticed someone at the entrance. Went around the property, checked the utility cupboards, bins, shrubs and the neighbours. Not a sign of the parcel. I've contacted customer services and I'm still waiting for help from them about the issue. 24hrs have gone past and I'm short of 55 pounds and wine. Avoid Parcelforce if you can.
