Given a specified budget, my 11yo was able to put together a gaming computer using the site's build tools. Together we reviewed his choices, and made some minor changes, but the truth is he knows more about the specs than me (I'm not IT illiterate, but Moore's law has left me feeling like a dinosaur). After submitting the order, I got nervous, and called to walk through the specs with the PCSpec team pre-build. My main concern was that we might have inadvertently throttled performance in a way that might be easily rectified. The PCSpec tech I spoke to was hugely helpful, and provided great feedback and suggestions. We made some further minor tweaks, with some of the changes saving money, so I ended up spending about £50 more, but was left with the confidence we had put together an even better system that remained on budget. My son is thrilled with the result, which easily outstrips the performance of any other computer in the house, and I was reassured we ended up with the best specs for our budget. We'd certainly use PCSpec again.
