The quality of Postmates’ customer service has officially gone down hill, making it insane for me to use over cheaper and more diverse options like Grubhub at this point. Not only does postmates charge you multiple taxes (they have two separate delivery taxes that just use different language (??) and STILL ask you to tip the driver), they’ll then keep every cent of your order even if they NOR the restaurant fulfilled the order. Taking money from someone without a service rendered is either a donation or a robbery; I don’t know why I’d be donating to a multi-million dollar corporation in this economic climate so lets go w the latter.
What’s worse? The app glitched. I had to cancel my order because THEIR app made it a delivery AFTER I chose pick-up, and instead of them refunding my cute $25 in light of me being their customer for a decade and giving them literally THOUSANDS on dollars last year (don’t judge my non-cooking habits), they chose to be greedy and condescending by having Ralph just read a script back to me over and over again, which tells me they value $25 over my business so they can have the former instead. I’m floored, ngl. Will literally never use this app again.
