I have no idea how they have any ratings above 1 star. We responded to all queries sent across to our solicitors and were regularly chasing for updates. They then resent queries we had already answered, 6 weeks after our initial response. Deadlines for when our chain wanted to exchange were ignored and we received only updates that they were waiting on responses to queries. These had been sent and our solicitors had even copied in our estate agents so we knew they had been sent. They then raised an issue with the indemnity at the last minute which required us to scramble round to resolve with the council. They then said they hadn't received the mortgage deed from our buyers (now 3 1/2 months after the offer was accepted) which our buyers had sent several times before. They then said they couldn't download it on their system. Our whole chain is about to fall over. As I'm moving from England to Scotland I will have to pay double the solicitors fees everyone else on the chain is paying due to the difference in laws. No one can get through to them or any responses from them in a timely manner. Our solicitor/our buyers/our estate agents all get completely different updates when they finally do get a response. The incompetence and lack of urgency is second to none. Our upwards chain is about to collapse, I will be out thousands of pounds and it all lies with PPL. Never use them and most importantly NEVER accept an offer from a buyer using them.
