My instructors name is Ilia Kolmagorov. Prep expert is definitely a helpful course. You get plenty of practice problems, which will highly benefit your score on the SAT. I learned the more practice problems you do, the less confusing the SAT will be because you will have seen the types of problems before. In that case, the practice gets a five out of five. But I found the actual classes to not be as helpful as they should’ve been. Not that they were poor, but I found them to be slightly unnecessary. We did indeed learn some helpful strategies in the classes, but while going over homework problems, (witch is the majority of the class) it can really get messy and confusing. Either the instructor could go too fast, the writing can get all over the place, or the actual problem is difficult for one to understand. It’s difficult to do this online as everyone has different learning habits. Therefore, it’s difficult to engage just via a chat box. Online classes are never going to be perfect so I do not fully hold that against Prep Expert. The classes are three hours long with two ten minute breaks in between, and I found that to be very challenging, as it’s just way too long. I would’ve preferred more classes per week with shorter runtimes. I do understand the challenge of instructors availability though. I really do think you’re paying for the amount of practice problems that you really can’t get anywhere else. However, at the end of the day, I would recommend Prep Expert to anybody looking to improve their SAT score.
