I was against Reverb in the beginning. The only true way to buy a guitar is to pick it up and play it. But, I dove in and gave it a try about 5 years ago. For the little things, it seems OK. But for actual guitars, or more than likely anything where a signature is required, you can not redirect the package to an authorized drop off point, or ask for it to be held at the facility for pickup. Someone has to be at the address to sign for it. They will not accept the signature on the note they leave when they miss you. So, I have to stay home when they plan to deliver, meaning I have to take time off from work to get my package, which means, it technically cost way more than I actually paid for it. I first called UPS, cuz they said the shipper made that determination, then I communicated with the seller, who had no clue what I was talking about. Finally I talked to Reverb and they confirmed it. Do better Reverb. Unfortunately, buying guitars off of Reverb is really the only way to get a different crop of guitars into local areas. Northeast USA is inundated with Gibson, Fender, Jackson, and PRS. Dean, Kramer, Ovation, Hamer, BC Rich...not so much.
