I loved the look of my Rieker shoes. I only wore them a couple of times and then was saving them for special occasions. I put them on about 6 weeks ago and the entire inside of both shoes was extremely sticky leaving black residue on my socks which also got sticky. I took them to a shoe repair man with about 45 years experience and he said he'd never seen anything like it and there was nothing he could do. The lining was some cheap inferior material. I called the Rieker toll free number and the lady was very abrupt and said she couldn't help me, I'd lost the sales slip and the shoe store had closed and they were over a year old. I didn't want a refund I wanted a solution, offering to send them to the company to look at. She told me they were not in the shoe repair business. I will never buy Rieker products again. I have been generous giving them one star but I couldn't give a zero.
