“The customer service is not good. I bought a pair of boots and after two months the heal sole is wearing off badly and they said it is my fault. It is last time I am buying this brand. Completely disappointed. I paid a lot and trust the brand at the end I have old shoes”

“I really liked the shoes although I did need to buy a cushion to add more comfort right away- then they fell apart 2 1/2 months after I bought them- the material started falling off the toe and the sides of the soles separated. Rieker nor the place I bought them would give me an exchange or refund. Shoddy shoes. Don't waste your money.”

“have been buying Rieker shoes for YEARS. I sang their praises for the quality, design, comfort. I just bought a pair and was shocked and dismayed to see damage on my brand new red shoes after wearing TWO DAYS of just walking around. There are huge scuff marks on the toe and inner heal where the color is GONE. These shoes are ruined. Rather than being dyed material, it seems that the color was just spray painted on! This is NOT the level of quality that I have come to expect from Rieker and that I rave about. These shoes aren't worth the $89 I spent for them! This quality is what I expect of cheap shoes that cost less than half of what I paid. This quality is akin to something from a Dollar Store. Wrote the company. Received this condescending, smug response: "Thank you for contacting Rieker. We are sorry you are experiencing an issue with your Rieker shoes; this is certainly not the usual ‘Rieker customer experience’. We endeavor to produce excellent quality shoes that our customers will enjoy wearing for some time. We must point out that your legal purchase contract is with the retailer from whom the goods were purchased. This being the case, the retailer from whom you purchased the goods should be your point of contact. We are only able to assist with purchases made directly through us on our website in the USA. Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with purchases made through a retailer in a different country. Please may I respectfully ask that you contact the retailer. “I paid almost $200 for a pair of Rieker boots and wore them half a dozen times. Never in harsh elements. They are now peeling in several spots. Very disappointed in this product.”

“not impressed with my Rieker boots - they leaked from the start and now after just a few month use, the top layer of the leather is peeling away from the rest. Very poor quality product.”

“Terrible shoes. The tops are glued to the soles and separate around year, if lucky. The material is always cheap and does not last. Holes, peeling, cheap, cheap, cheap. Avoid unless you enjoy burning your money.”

“For an online retailer, Rieker does an extremely poor job of returns, exchanges, and refunds. There is no way for a customer to check their size for sure before ordering. I ordered the size i typically wear in other brands but it seems i need to size up in Rieker. When i tried contacting customer service over chat (please do away with the chat functionality if you do not have someone monitoring it regularly, it is annoying to wait for a response in a chat window), over a period of two hours, agents sent me scripted emails with a link to the return policy saying the customer bears all costs associated with a return. And that there was no way in which they could help with exchanges. For a company of your legacy and stature, you can do better than nickel and diming the customer. Please show some grace, a return shipping label is not that big a thing to offer and build on your Website, especially if you dont intend to sell widely through common brick and mortar retailers. Honestly, i feel stupid to have ordered directly through your Website.”

“A pair of supposedly high-quality shoes manufactured by Rieker and that I purchased while on a visit to Germany, resulted in the top part of the shoes to peel off after a handful of uses and in just under 6 weeks from purchase. Rieker is refusing to address the issue or extend any support and is absolving itself entirely from any responsibility, on the basis that I have not purchased the shoes online directly from them!!! Despite informing them that retailing partner concerned is not being responsive, Rieker's shameless reply: "We definitely have no means of dealing with end customer complaints!!" SHOCKINGLY POOR QUALITY OF PRODUCT & EQUALLY ABYSMAL CUSTOMER SERVICE.”

“Am so disappointed. I was so happy with the look of my boots . I lashed out to buy what I thought were superior shoes and felt really good in them . UNTIL the leather tops came away from the soles . I thought they were stitched on but they are just made to look that way . They are actually just glued on . How can this company continue to sell such inferior quality at such a high price.”

“I love Reiker shoes, very comfortable and stylish, however, after only a few times of wearing all the material wears off the front making them look tatty and old, these shoes are not cheap, but, think very cheap materials are used, such a shame as otherwise I was very happy with them. I Actually have 5 pairs and all have gone the same way. Will have to look elsewhere now for equally comfortable shoes.”

“I shopped for new shoes at Reiner’s, today. The majority of Rieker shoes are for people with narrower feet. There is little to no wider footwear - let alone nice shoes for wide feet. If the fit well, I would have bought 4 or 5 pair. But after trying on 11 pairs of shoes, only one pair fit me well. I really wanted to buy the D1C03 Jean-like, platform sneakers, but they were ridiculously tight at my little toe: a sign of ill fitting shoes. Rieker is long overdue for updating their stock to fit their clients needs.”

“Bought Reiker man's shoes due to perceived reputation and quality. Should have read reviews beforehand. Shoes cost in excess of £100 but four months later I have had to pay out over £20 for new heels. Rieker said this was due to wear and tear and would not cover replacement or repair. I was told that I must be heavy on heels. My other shoes would not agree. Will know better in future and will not buy Rieker again.”

“BUYER BEWARE!!!!!Have my ankle boots just 4.5 months. They have been worn a handful of times and they are falling apart already...complete garbage! Very expensive boots for such low quality. Will NEVER buy this brand again.”

“Absolute garbage... I have had my boots not even two months.. The material is falling apart, the souls are falling off And there's splitting at different seams.. I baby these boots there is no reason for them to be falling apart... I messaged the company and they told me that they do not follow through with warranty. They do not do refunds,credit, or send you a replacement pair... and they were sorry for my disappointment but i was sol. For the price of $145- $200 I expected more.. Please do not waste your money on this brand or anything from rieker.”

“I recently ordered five pairs of boots from Rieker.ca and the only good thing I can say is they have an excellent return policy. They have a return label right in the box, and I returned most of them. I gave one pair to my niece, and I’m wearing one pair, the other three I returned. My problem is they’re sooo narrow. Nobody has feet that narrow. I had to go two sizes up to try to find a fit and I’m sorry that I kept the ones I did. My feet hurt so bad when I’m wearing them. I feel like I’m getting neuropathy. Zero stars!!!!!”
