I posted two very expensive jumpers to my granddaughter over a week ago. I posted them 1st class signed for. They still haven’t arrived!. I phoned Royal Mail customer services this morning and waited 1hour 15 mins to speak to an advisor. The person I spoke to was very pleasant but I was told that I would need to wait another 6 days before I can fill in a missing parcel form and then wait another 30 days for a response. I will probably lose over £100 on this parcel as I am I insured up to fifty pounds I did tell the person this who accepted my parcel the cost of the jumpers, it would have been nice if he had given me an alternative way of posting. I am absolutely shocked that this is the way Royal Mail operates. All down to the Covid pandemic I am told. I am a trained nurse and if I or my colleagues did our job in such an inefficient manner - god help the NHS and those it cares for.
