I’m currently wondering if Royal Mail has been taken over by UPS as the service I’ve experienced today has been equal to theirs in awfulness. After waiting for 40 minutes to speak to customer service to find out where my daughter’s item was, which she had been notified would be delivered by our postman today. I explained that the postman had been and gone, and no item delivery had occurred. I was told that it would definitely come today, but would be delivered by a different van, up until 7pm. Unsurprisingly there was no different van, and no item delivery. I expect the sender paid extra for a fast service - what a waste of their money and my time. Things used to be so much better when it was possible to contact the local depot directly and speak to someone who knew what they were talking about.
